Print Your Catch

Since the quality of the print is dependent on the freshness of the fish, it is important to preserve the fish before printing.  Take the following steps to ensure a perfect print:

  • Measure the length and width of the fish.  This will help me gather the correct materials and get the right paper for printing.

  • Call me immediately at 215-353-8947.  Additionally, send an email to lou.farrell@gmail.com.   I'll get back to you as soon as possible.  If you can send a picture, that would be a big help.

  • Gaffed fish are problematic.  I'll need at least one clean side to make a quality print.  Do not gut the fish or remove the gills.  The best prints are made from intact specimens that I prepare for printing.

  • Keep the fish refrigerated or cold in a cooler.  If you are icing the fish, please make sure that it is elevated level and not sitting in water.  That will quickly spoil the fish.

You can bring the fish to my studio in Hatfield, PA or we can arrange a time to meet and a price for the print and travel.  Finished prints will be available in about three days.  They can either picked up or mailed to you by USPS. Mounting and framing are done by a local shop that I trust at additional cost and normally take at least an week for delivery. I recommend picking up framed prints, rather than having them mailed.
